The Aiper Scuba V3 combines AI vision guided navigation with fine filtration for dust, while scrubbing an inground pool's floor, walls and waterline. Aiper describes automatic cleaning plans that use weather and cleaning history as well as pool size. It runs for up to 3 hours and recharges on a wireless dock.

Who It's For

You want to clean settled debris and scrub the pool walls without running a power cable through the water. Your inground pool can be rectangular, round or freeform, and you want to choose between floor, wall and waterline modes as conditions change. App scheduling suits an owner who prefers setting cleaning times on a phone, while the active brushes and fine filter address both surface dirt and small particles.

Look Elsewhere If

You may want a different robot if your pool exceeds 1,600 square feet or is longer than 50 feet. Those limits apply separately, so a narrow pool can be too long even when its total area fits. It also does not skim floating debris from the open water. If leaves and insects collect on the surface throughout the day, you will still need a net or another way to collect them before they settle.

Key Features

AI Vision Mapping. Aiper says VisionPath combines AI vision with a dToF sensor to plan routes and avoid obstacles. Aiper also describes AI Patrol Cleaning with debris detection, so the vision system has a role in finding material to collect as well as guiding movement. Its advanced mapping could be particularly useful in a freeform pool, where the cleaning route has to follow an outline with curves.

Automatic Cleaning Plans. Navium mode uses pool size, weather and cleaning history to build cleaning plans, according to Aiper's product page. It adjusts cleaning timing and power around those inputs. You can also use app scheduling to set cleaning times yourself, so you have a choice between choosing the schedule directly and using the robot's automatic planning mode.

Filters And Debris. Aiper specifies a main filter of 180 microns and a fine filter of 3 microns. The MicroMesh system uses multiple filter layers, with collection covering leaves and larger debris alongside fine and microscopic material. If dust regularly settles after you remove the larger leaves, the finer layer gives this cleaner a way to collect that smaller material during its cleaning runs.

Waterline And Brushing. JetAssist provides horizontal cleaning along the waterline, where a band of dirt can form around the pool's edge. Active brushes scrub the pool surfaces, with suction rated at 4,800 gph. Floor, wall and waterline modes let you direct cleaning toward the area that needs attention, such as the bottom after debris settles or the waterline when a visible band develops. The robot travels on tracks, which carry it across the floor and up the walls during those cleaning modes.

Battery And Charging. The battery holds 10,400 mAh, and a full recharge takes 5 hours. Its charging dock supplies wireless power and provides a place to keep the cleaner between uses. Aiper's store says the robot returns to its dock by itself to charge and notifies you through the app.

How It Compares

Aiper Scuba V3 Ultra Check Price at Aiper

Aiper Scuba V3 Ultra is the sibling for an owner who wants floating debris collected alongside underwater cleaning, with coverage extending to pools up to 3,875 square feet. Choose it if those extra cleaning duties matter more than lifting a lighter body, because its weight reaches 28.8 pounds when you collect it, adding to the weight you handle during retrieval.

Aiper Scuba X1 Get the deal at Aiper

Aiper Scuba X1 suits an owner whose pool needs more coverage, extending the area rating to 2,150 square feet while retaining advanced mapping and app scheduling for cleaning control. Its suction rating reaches 6,600 gph, so choose it if you want that higher flow rating alongside the extra pool capacity and can manage a heavier cleaner when lifting it out.

Aiper Scuba S1 Get the deal at Aiper

Aiper Scuba S1 is the alternative for longer cleaning sessions within the same pool size limits, running for up to 4.5 hours while retaining app scheduling and active brushing. Choose it when time in the water matters more than advanced mapping, because it follows patterned paths and has a lower suction flow rating than the Scuba V3.

Worth Knowing

Aiper's product page describes waterline retrieval with app alerts, so your phone can notify you when the cleaner returns to the waterline. The body weighs 18.1 pounds, and you still lift it out by hand. Aiper's store also carries a replacement MicroMesh filter set and a debris basket for this model.

Aiper also describes TÜV certified data privacy protection for the AI system. Its store says the app handles commands you initiate, including starting or retrieving the robot, along with status alerts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it in a saltwater pool?

Yes. Saltwater compatibility is included, along with chlorine and mineral water. It also supports pools using ozone or ultraviolet treatment.

Can it handle a sloping pool floor?

Yes, up to 15 degrees. Its tracked movement supports travel on an incline within that limit, so a gradually sloping floor is among the layouts it can handle.

Which pool finishes can it clean?

It supports vinyl, gunite, fiberglass and tile. Its compatibility also includes hard and soft pool walls, covering several common inground pool constructions and combinations of wall finishes.

Do I need my phone to start cleaning?

No. Aiper's store describes starting cleaning with one click on the robot or in the app. You can start directly at the pool without using your phone for activation.

Can it clean after dark?

Yes. Aiper says its LED lights support the AI vision system during nighttime cleaning. You can schedule a run for the evening through the app.

Does its AI vision upload images of my pool?

No, according to Aiper. Its product page says images are neither stored nor uploaded, and the store explains that core AI navigation and processing happen locally on the robot.

Where do I access the filters?

From the top. The filter compartment opens above the body, giving you access to the collected debris and filter components without turning the cleaner over to reach underneath.
